From first spatial discovery through precision in-house installation, our methodical framework leaves zero ambiguity.

Initial Consultation
We review your architectural plans, lifestyle requirements, aesthetic inspirations, and preliminary budget. We discuss realistic timelines, material possibilities, and establish whether our studio is the right partner for your project.

Project Discovery
Before design begins, we take the time to understand the space in its entirety. Our founders personally visit the project to study its architecture, proportions, existing conditions, and the way each room is intended to function. Critical dimensions, wall and floor conditions, ceiling heights, transitions, electrical and plumbing locations, appliance requirements, and clearances are carefully documented as part of this assessment.

Design & Shop Drawings
We translate your spatial requirements into realistic 3D design mockups and detailed shop drawings — elevations, sectional cuts, and internal fitment plans. Every drawer depth, reveal width, and shadow line is documented for your sign-off before fabrication begins.

Finishes
Finishes are settled in a scheduled material review at our Oldsmar atelier. We lay out live flitches of rift oak, smoked walnut, custom-formulated paint drawdowns, honed stone slabs, and solid brass pull handles under 2700K lighting, and work through each choice against your drawings until the specification is signed off. Nothing is posted out: selections are made with us in the studio.

Fabrication
Our cabinetmakers machine Baltic birch carcasses, hand-assemble dovetailed solid maple drawer boxes, press sequence-matched veneers, and apply multi-coat conversion varnishes in our dedicated Oldsmar fabrication atelier.

Installation
We never subcontract installation to third parties. Our own cabinetmakers bring your bespoke casework to the site, using heavy-duty dust extractors and precision levels to scribe every panel flush to your home walls.

Walkthrough
Together with our founders, we conduct a detailed final quality and installation review. We tune every Blum hinge cam, fine-adjust every drawer and door for clean, consistent reveals and smooth operation, test every soft-close stroke, and deliver your care kit with the supporting documentation.

Every Modern Art Kitchen commission is led personally by Vasilii and Ana.
Rooted in a tradition that began in 2012, and established in Oldsmar in 2023, Modern Art Kitchen brings considered engineering and founder-led craft directly to Tampa Bay.
Vasilii Pavalovschii and Ana Tanase review every shop drawing, inspect every veneer bundle for continuous grain matching on our wood cabinetry and every painted door for a dead-smooth, uniform-color finish on our solid-color cabinetry, and visit the project jobsite. Having built for distinguished residences and high-end interiors throughout Connecticut and Manhattan, we build strong boxes of minimum 3/4" with European motion hardware.
